Atlanta surgeon J. Patrick Luke M.D. FACS
Background
Dr. Patrick Luke attended Valdosta State College, where he was a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society and graduated cum laude with his Bachelor of Science in 1978. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia in 1982. Dr. Luke completed his internship in categorical surgery and his general surgical residency at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta.
Dr. Luke holds privileges at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Northside Hospital in Atlanta, and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Associations of Georgia and Atlanta, the Southeastern Surgical Congress, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Eastern Association for Surgery of Trauma, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Luke has authored a number of presentations, courses, and publications based on his work, including several courses on basic and advanced life support and laparoscopic surgery. He is currently the core lecturer for third year medical students at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center, and has held a private practice at Ruben and Luke Surgical Associates since October of 1990.
