Atlanta surgeon Louis Goehring M.D.
Background
Dr. Goehring is a native of Atlanta and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Emory University in 1980. He graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1985, performed his internship at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta and completed his residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Dr. Goehring practiced for over 10 years at Northside Hospital Cherokee and served on the Board of Directors at that institution. He started a solo practice in Dahlonega before joining Chattahoochee Surgical Group. He is a fellow member of the American College of Surgeons, and received his Board Certification by the American Board of Surgery in 1991. He has performed advanced laparoscopic surgery for over 15 years with a special interest in management of esophageal reflux.
